Hi! I’m Giulia, or @beetlejulia
a cartoon character designer and illustrator.
I’ve been drawing since childhood, but things got serious after I saw my first Tim Burton movie - that mix of whimsy and darkness completely hooked me.
I originally studied agronomy, then followed my heart to the fine art academy, where I dove into digital art and character design.Â
I’ve had the exciting opportunity to collaborate with Jack in the Box on creating an artwork for a design displayed on trams in Los Angeles during Comic-Con. I also had the honor of having one of my worked featured in Jack in the Box’s calendar for the month of October where I created a full art piece of their mascotte in my style. Beyond my commercial work, I love sharing my passion for art with the next generation and have taught kids about character design and comics through engaging art workshops.
My work focuses on expressive, colorful cartoon characters - full of personality and story. I love exploring shape language, poses, gesture, color palettes, and expressions to make each character feel alive. I also enjoy creating fan art and developing my own comic characters with their worlds.
